Previous Car Projects

1986 Pontiac Fiero GT

This is my first project car that I purchased in 2021 when I was 16 years old. I learned a lot about how mechanical assemblies work on this car as I rebuilt the brakes, tuned up the engine with plugs and wires, and deep cleaned the interior. Unfortunately this car was claimed by the East Coast’s corrosive environment and was not a long term project.

1984 Audi 4000 S Quattro

I picked up this Audi rally car in a state of despair with hopes of getting it up and running to convert it to a road coarse track car. After being told the car had suffered an engine fire that took it out of service, I replumbed most of the engine vacuum/boost system and was able to get the car running and driving. This car was very unique with a 2.2L Turbo 5 cylinder swapped into it from the Audi 5000 to be raced in a Pennsylvania rally series.

After a fair amount of time playing around with the turbo system I could not get the engine to make any boost and determined it would be the best to pull the motor and inspect its internals. Luckily the engine was a certified rebuilt motor from Volkswagen and the engine was reinstalled with some fresh seals. I also made adjustable seat brackets as the car did not come with the seats mounted.

1977 Porsche 924

This Porsche 924 is my first Porsche ever (hopefully first of many) and had a short-lived life under my ownership. This car was a marketplace deal that was too good to pass up, but I did not have storage for it at the time so it made it’s way into a friends garage. I picked away at this car throwing new battery, fuses, rebuilding the injection system, vacuum system, brakes, etc. After realizing it would need to be stored much longer than initially anticipated I sold the car to my friend who was storing it and have continued working on it. I am pleased to report the brakes are fully functioning, the engine fires on starting fluid, and the electrical system is nearly sorted. First drive soon…
